One of Warwick University’s latest spin-out companies has achieved national recognition by winning the 2005-06 EPSRC Business Plan Competition. Warwick Warp was established in 2005 by Dr Li Wang with Professor Roland Wilson and Dr Abhir Bhalerao. The company has developed a revolutionary approach to fingerprint matching which improves speed and accuracy in biometric security applications. In preparation for its first major funding round later in 2007, the company engaged daVinci Ventures. Nick Wood is working with the team, providing advice on the business plan and introducing the company to new investors.
